Su Gong Pagoda(monastery) is located in the eastern suburbs of Turpan City, about 3 kilometers from the city center. It is a brick pagoda with strong Uygur style. The pagoda with a history of about 300 years was built in 1778 by Suleiman, the second son of EminHezhuo, who spent 7,000 taels of silver to commemorate his father's achievements and to thank the Qing government for giving them a high honor, so it was called Su Gong Pagoda. Secondly, the pagoda commemorated the peaceful development of Xinjiang and the maintenance of national unity. It was built to conmemorate the outstanding patriots who made great contributions to the fight against national division, the great national hero EminHe Zhuo, so it is also called Emin Tower. Third, this tower is the largest tower in Turpan, so it is called Turpan Tower.
The tower is 37 meters high and 10 meters in diameter at the bottom. Compared with the Sugong Pagoda, the mosque next to it is called Munar mosque.
